Consultation Fees & Insurance Information

Mr Redfern is covered by most of the major insurance companies, but you should check with your insurer as to your level of cover so that you are aware of any shortfalls that may be incurred.

Please remember that insurance companies often only offer a certain level of cover and may not automatically cover all costs.

Consultation fees

• First consultation: £295.00

• Follow-up consultation: £195.00

X-rays, scans, tests or investigations recommended by Mr Redfern are charged in addition to the consultation fee.

Please note that insurance companies do not usually cover the cost of Aircast boots, post-operative shoes, splints, braces or crutches.

Insurance for surgical procedures

Mr Redfern’s fees are billed in accordance with insurers’ guidelines for all surgical procedures. As each insurance company has their own fee schedule, your insurance may not fully cover the fees quoted by Mr Redfern and there may be a shortfall liability.

When you book an operation with Mr Redfern, he will advise you of his fees for the surgery and you must then check with your insurance company whether these costs are fully covered.

It will be your responsibility to settle any shortfalls incurred.
